Rachel is Creative Producer of Dublin based theatre companies Brokentalkers and Chaos Factory.
Brokentalkers are a multi-award winning company, founded in 2001 by Feidlim Cannon and Gary Keegan. Brokentalkers make formally ambitious work that defies categorization and have built a reputation as one of Ireland’s most innovative and original theatre companies. Chaos Factory is an emerging experimental theatre company led by Rachel Bergin, Venetia Bowe & Fionnuala Gygax. Chaos Factory’s work is physically led, putting the body at the centre of their exploration in order to make theatre that is playful, strange and beautiful.
Rachel holds a BA in Drama and Theatre Studies from Trinity College Dublin. In 2018 Rachel was awarded a Bursary for Professional Development from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. Rachel has recently been awarded an Arts Council Theatre Bursary Award 2020. Rachel was an Artist in Residence at Dublin Fringe Festival 2019-2021 and is an Associate Producer at field:arts.
