Associate Producer

Rachel is Creative Producer for Brokentalkers, a field:arts Associate Company.


Brokentalkers are a multi-award winning company, founded in 2001 by Feidlim Cannon and Gary Keegan. Brokentalkers make formally ambitious work that defies categorization and have built a reputation as one of Ireland’s most innovative and original theatre companies. 

Rachel is also Creative Producer for Chaos Factory, an emerging experimental theatre company led by Rachel Bergin, Venetia Bowe & Fionnuala Gygax. Chaos Factory’s work is physically led, putting the body at the centre of their exploration in order to make theatre that is playful, strange and beautiful. 

Rachel holds a BA in Drama and Theatre Studies from Trinity College Dublin. In 2018 Rachel was awarded a Bursary for Professional Development from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, and has recently been awarded an Arts Council Theatre Bursary Award 2020. Rachel is an Artist in Residence at Dublin Fringe Festival 2019 – 2021.

Rachel’s recent producing credits include: The Spider’s House (Project Arts Centre and Arts & Disability Ireland Co-Production), Gym Swim Party (A Co-Production with O’Reilly Theatre, Dublin Fringe Festival 2019), A Different Wolf (Associate Producer, Junk Ensemble), MorphMe (BITE SIZE // SCRATCH, Live Collision 2019), WOMB (First Fortnight 2019), Son of a Preacher Man (Theatre Machine 2019), Kiss Kiss Slap Slap (Dublin Fringe 2018), LUNA (Galway Theatre Festival 2018), Fierce Notions (Dublin Fringe 2017, Winner: DFF Judges Choice Award). Her recent directing credits include, Abair/Samaa (Bealtaine Festival 2019), The Examination (Associate Director, Brokentalkers, Winner: Irish Time Theatre Awards Best Production & Best Soundscape 2020, DFF Best Production & Best Performer: Willie White 2019), The Circus Animals’ Desertion (Assistant Director, Brokentalkers).
